Privacy Policy for Pulse Media Player

Last Updated: August 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile, tablet, and TV application Pulse Media Player (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), available on platforms such as Android, Android TV, and iOS. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree to the collection, processing, and use of information as described herein, subject to applicable law.

Pulse Media Player is a media player and library management service that lets you create an account, connect your own playlists (for example M3U or Xtream Codes–compatible sources), browse live TV, movies, and series metadata, and play streams from sources you choose.

Pulse Media Player is only a media player and account / library management platform. We have no affiliation, partnership, sponsorship, or other connection with any third-party IPTV or content provider. The App is not an IPTV service and is not intended to provide, sell, or distribute live TV, movies, or series content. Any playlists or sources you connect are chosen and supplied entirely by you; those third parties have their own privacy practices, and we do not operate or own them.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may collect:

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

3. Playlist Credentials and Third-Party Content Providers

When you add a playlist, you may voluntarily provide credentials or URLs that contain credentials for a third-party content provider. We transmit this information to our backend over HTTPS so we can create, sync, and restore your library on your signed-in devices.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any playlist or provider account you connect.

4. Device Data and Multi-Device Features

The App registers a device identifier and device metadata with our API so we can secure requests, show your devices in Settings, and support TV QR / code login and device revocation. You may revoke an individual device or reset authenticated devices from within the App where available.

On Android, the App declares access to the Advertising ID in the application manifest. We use this identifier only to help track product stability and diagnose errors. We do not use it to harvest additional information from your device beyond the categories already described in this Privacy Policy.

5. Local Storage on Your Device

The App may store on your device:

On Android, sensitive session and credential data is stored using encrypted preferences where implemented. Clearing app data or uninstalling the App removes local data from that device.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by Apple App Store and/or Google Play under their terms and privacy policies. We receive and/or sync entitlement information (for example whether your account is premium) to unlock paid features.

We may use a subscription management / entitlement service (such as RevenueCat) to associate purchases with your Pulse account using a non-email app user identifier (for example pulseplayer:{userId}). Payment card details are handled by Apple/Google, not by us.

7. Advertising

The App may show ads based on server-side ad policy. This can include Google IMA (Interactive Media Ads) VAST tags and/or custom creatives. When ads are served, Google and/or other ad partners may collect device, network, and advertising identifiers according to their own privacy policies in order to deliver and measure ads.

Separately from ad delivery, on Android we declare the Advertising ID in the manifest for product stability and error tracking as described in Section 4. That use does not involve collecting extra device data beyond what this policy already lists.

8. Third-Party Services

Depending on features you use, data may be processed by:

We do not currently operate a third-party product analytics or crash-reporting SDK (such as Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics) as part of the shipping App described in this policy. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy.

9. Permissions

10. Data Retention

11. Your Rights and Data Deletion

Subject to applicable law (including, where relevant, Turkish Law No. 6698 — KVKK), you may:

For the KVKK Art. 10 disclosure (data controller identity, purposes, legal bases, transfers, and Art. 11 rights), see our Privacy Notice.

You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data from within the App (Settings / account area). After you confirm deletion in the App, we delete or anonymize associated account data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited information for legal, security, or accounting reasons.

If you cannot complete in-app deletion, email support@pulsemediaplayer.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”.

12. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards, including HTTPS for communication with our API, request signing / device binding for authenticated calls, and access controls on backend systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your password and provider credentials confidential.

13. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital consent age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

14. International Data Transfers

We may process and store information on servers located in countries other than your own. Where required by applicable law (including KVKK rules on cross-border transfers), we take steps designed to provide an appropriate level of protection for personal data.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
